Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee plot measurements for above-ground biomass (AGB) and below-ground biomass (BGB), including application of allometric equations and carbon stock calculations
• Oversee peat depth measurements and soil sampling and analysis (bulk density, organic carbon content)
• Conduct hydro logical studies and manage water table monitoring (logger, monitoring wells, pals scale) and peat subsidence according to applicable SOPs
• Ensure field data accuracy, documentation, and audit readiness
• Serve as technical point of contact for biomass and carbon during validation and verification by VVB, including responding to audit findings
• Coordinate with technical partners and field teams in preparing monitoring reports

About you

• Minimum S1 degree in Forestry, Soil Science, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or related field (S2 is an advantage)
• Experience in carbon projects (nature-based solutions) such as REDD+, ARR, or peatland restoration under Verra or equivalent standards
• Direct experience in forest inventory, biomass measurement, and soil/peat sampling
• Understanding of peat hydrology and peat emission estimation
• Previous involvement in validation or verification audits by VVB is a strong advantage
• Able to use GIS and process data (Excel; R/Python is an advantage)
