Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join a hospital-based cardiac catheterization team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures and be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The Cath Lab Technologist will work closely with cardiologists, nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory for scheduled procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Assist physicians and the clinical team during cardiac cath procedures.
• Operate and assist with specialized Cath Lab equipment and monitoring systems.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control procedures.
• Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and post-procedure cleanup.
• Monitor patients and communicate relevant clinical information to the care team.
• Prepare and maintain required procedural supplies and equipment.
• Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately document procedures and maintain appropriate patient records.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations in the Cath Lab.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, radiology staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist / Cath Lab Technician / Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Hands-on experience with cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, radiation safety, and Cath Lab protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and other clinical professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification.
• ARRT or other relevant cardiovascular/radiologic credentials.
• Experience with coronary angiography, PCI, stent placement, and other interventional cardiac procedures.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring.
• Previous hospital Cath Lab experience.

Pay: $83,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
