Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. Duties

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support individuals with mobility and daily routines in accordance with personalised care plans
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions
• Support the organisation of activities and social engagement opportunities
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care

Skills

• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a care home or home care setting
• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
• Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic nature
• Driving licence is desirable for those supporting home care clients or travelling between locations
• Knowledge of care plans and procedures to deliver personalised support effectively
• Organised, reliable, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.00 per hour
