Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily personal care to residents or clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Support individuals in adhering to their tailored care plans, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with respect and sensitivity
• Assist with medication management and ensure accurate documentation of care activities
• Facilitate engaging activities that promote mental and physical well-being
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care and address concerns
• Maintain a safe environment by following health and safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents promptly
• Use IT systems to update records, track progress, and manage schedules efficiently

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
• Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving home visits or transportation of clients
• Basic IT literacy for maintaining electronic records and updating care plans
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents or clients and work effectively within a team
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and dignity

Pay: £12.75-£14.00 per hour
