Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to individuals receiving home care services. Responsibilities

• Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, administering medications and mobility assistance
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met according to care plans
• Help clients participate in recreational activities and social interactions to promote mental well-being
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates to individual care plans
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
• Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as needed, ensuring safety at all times
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for everyone

Skills

• Valid driving license and ability to drive safely for home care or outings
• Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is desirable however training is provided
• Knowledge of developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs
• Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
• Excellent communication skills in English to interact clearly and empathetically with clients and colleagues
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to caregiving roles
• Must be available to work alternate weekends

Pay: £13.80 per hour
