Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support and companionship to individuals in our care home. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by delivering personalized assistance, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
• Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person's needs and preferences
• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a friendly and caring atmosphere
• Administer medication or assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including progress notes and incident reports
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, healthcare teams, and colleagues to ensure coordinated care
• Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments when necessary, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a care home is preferred, training will be provided for the right candidate
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English to ensure clear understanding of care instructions and effective communication with clients and team members
• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans electronically
• Strong communication skills with a caring attitude towards residents or clients of all ages and backgrounds
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings as needed
• Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining a respectful, person-centered approach

Pay: £13.45-£13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
