Care Assistant

We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team at Woodleigh Lodge.

We are a dementia care home, and our focus is on providing a safe, welcoming and homely environment where people are treated as individuals and supported to live their lives in a way that is meaningful to them.

As a Care Assistant, you will get to know the people we support, their routines, preferences, interests and life stories. You will provide support with personal care, meals, mobility and everyday activities, while also spending time talking with residents, offering reassurance and helping them feel comfortable and valued.

Every day is different. Some residents may need practical support, while others may simply need someone to sit with them, listen to them or help them feel settled. Understanding dementia and responding to each person as an individual is an important part of the role.

• Able to remain calm and reassuring when someone is distressed or confused

Previous care experience is desirable, but not essential. What matters most to us is your attitude, values and willingness to learn. Full training and support will be provided.
