Care Assistant

We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Conifer Lodge Residential Care Home.

About the role

As a Care Assistant, you will support our residents with their day-to-day needs while encouraging independence, choice and wellbeing. Your duties will include:

• Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and continence care
• Assisting residents with mobility and moving and handling where required
• Supporting residents at mealtimes and with food and fluid intake
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Encouraging residents to take part in activities and maintain their interests
• Observing residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns or changes promptly
• Completing accurate care records
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
• Maintaining residents' dignity, privacy, choice and independence
• Following safeguarding, infection prevention and other care-home policies and procedures
• Working closely with colleagues to provide safe, consistent and high-quality care

Previous experience in a care setting is welcomed; however, the right attitude and a genuine desire to care for others are just as important. Training and support will be provided.
