WE’RE LOOKING TO MAKE OUR FANTASTIC TEAM COMPLETE!

We’re a small, family-run care home for just 13 residents, and we think being small is something pretty special.

It means we really get to know our residents and our colleagues, and before long, everyone becomes part of the Grassington family.

Before you read any further… we like to keep things light on shift! We laugh with our residents and each other, so a good sense of humour is essential.

Moaning Myrtles need not apply ;)

So, what are we looking for?

We currently have part-time hours available, working weekdays and every other weekend. Hours and shifts can be discussed at interview, so we’re happy to chat about what might work for you.

We also have opportunities to join our bank team, covering morning, afternoon and night shifts when our lovely lot are off enjoying their well-earned holidays!

Working in a small home means wearing a few different hats.

As well as providing great care and getting to know our residents, you’ll muck in with the general day-to-day running of the home. This might include:

• Preparing meals or setting up teatime, although we won’t force you near the cooker if cooking really isn’t your thing!
• Helping with laundry when needed
• Making beds and keeping bedrooms lovely and tidy
• Spending one-to-one time with our residents and joining in with activities
• Generally helping to make Grassington feel like home

Experience in care is preferred and, most importantly, you must have a genuine passion for caring for older people. An NVQ is great, but not essential, and there may be opportunities to complete further qualifications while working with us.
