Job Title: Care Assistant

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, promoting their dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence support.
• Assist residents with mobility and daily activities.
• Support with meals, hydration and nutrition.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and other members of the care team.
• Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
• Support residents with social and recreational activities.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and other care home policies.
• Treat all residents with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Report accidents, incidents, concerns or safeguarding issues promptly to the appropriate senior staff member.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or similar care setting is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient and compassionate approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and person-centred care.
• Relevant care qualifications are desirable but not always essential, depending on the role.

Successful candidates will be subject to appropriate compliance checks, including right-to-work and reference checks.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
