Care Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Support individuals in adhering to their personalized care plans to meet their specific needs and preferences
• Help with daily activities including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light household chores
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update records regularly
• Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
• Promote a warm, friendly atmosphere that encourages independence and dignity for all individuals

Skills

• Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
• Ability to follow detailed care plans while adapting to individual needs
• Good IT literacy for documentation and record-keeping purposes
• Valid driving license preferred for roles involving home care or transportation of clients
• Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, empathetic attitude towards vulnerable individuals
