Job Reference: SSL/AB/KN Female Care Assistant - Days or Waking Nights

£14.13 per hour.

We are currently recruiting female care assistants to join our team of Personal Assistants, supporting our client with Still’s Disease in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The role is varied and you will support our client with complex needs to lead an independent lifestyle at home and in the community.

This is a truly person-centered role focused on providing general care and support, as well as carrying out clinical tasks such as diabetes and asthma management.

***Car driver essential as the customer has their own Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle and will need to support them to attend regular appointments***

Hours : Days: (shift pattern 9am-9pm)

36 hrs per week.

Or

Waking nights (shift pattern 9pm-9am)

36 hours per week or 24 hours per week

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.

Who we are looking for:

You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with:

• Personal care including measures to maintain a good skin state.
• Moving and Handling (including hoisting and position changes).
• Experience diabetes support
• Domestic duties
• Monitoring of general health, skin integrity, well-being, and accurate daily record keeping
• Experience of supporting with Diabetes and Asthma management

You should also have:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
