Working Pattern: Days, working to a rota

Full Time

Hourly Rate: £13.20 - £13.60 (dependent on qualification/s)

Qualification: Hold or willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3

Duties

Enabling residents to live their life to the fullest.

Provide support and companionship in a stimulating and homely environment.

You will supporting our residents with day to day living (bathing, dressing and personal care) and promoting their life choices and well being.

· Genuine interest in working with the elderly

· Excellent communication skills

Knowledge

· Understanding what it means to ‘care’

· Demonstrate compassion and empathy

· Hold NVQ/RQF or other recognized qualification in Health and Social Care

· Willingness to keep learning

Abilities / Skills

· Caring and committed to working to high standards

· Ability to build and maintain positive professional working relationships

· Ability to work on own initiative

· Be able to work flexibly

· Work effectively as part of a team

Experience

· Demonstrate dignity, privacy, equality, diversity and respecting resident’s rights.

· Working within a Care setting or care of a relative/friend

· Demonstrating person centered care

· Knowledge of Dementia/End of Life care
