Are you a caring, friendly person who wants to make a real difference every day? The Beeches is looking for Day and Night Care Assistants, to help our residents feel safe, comfortable and valued.

We’re a friendly, 31-bed home providing nursing, residential and dementia care. You’ll support residents with their daily routines, personal care and wellbeing, while encouraging independence and treating everyone with kindness and respect.

Experience is preferred, but your compassion, patience and willingness to learn is just as important.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team, with approachable managers and plenty of support.

Responsibilities

• Assist our residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained
• Follow personalized care plans to deliver tailored support that meets individual needs and preferences
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to provide updates and address concerns promptly.
• Escort residents to appointments when required, ensuring safety at all times
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards and infection control procedures
• Use PCS system to document care activities accurately and update records regularly

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a care home is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Basic IT skills for recording information electronically and managing documentation efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to build trustful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
• A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being and independence
• Flexibility to work various shifts including every second weekend
