Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Care Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to residents in our care home or individuals receiving home care services. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring they feel valued, safe, and respected every day.

Duties

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
• Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet each person's specific needs and preferences
• Support residents in engaging with social activities and encourage their participation to foster community spirit
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
• Drive company vehicles when necessary to support home care visits or outings

Skills

• Strong communication skills in English to connect empathetically with residents and team members
• Ability to operate IT systems efficiently for documentation and care planning purposes
• Valid driving license to facilitate transportation needs for home visits or errands
• Experience working in a care home environment or providing home care services is highly desirable
• Knowledge of developing and following detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable individuals
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to caregiving roles

Pay: £13.15 per hour

Expected hours: 36.75 per week
