Care Assistant (Full-time)

We are a residential care home in Horndean, seeking care staff with at least two years of experience and a genuine passion for supporting individuals living with dementia.

Our clients are elderly and have memory problems and we have a beautiful tabby cat, whom they adore.

NVQ level 2 or 3 is preferred but training will be given. Several of our staff have started apprenticeships for level 3 & 4 this year. We currently do online and face to face training during the year.

Duties

• Provide a caring and welcoming face to our residents and enjoy making them feel safe at night, knowing who's looking after them.
• Monitor and report any changes in the residents' health and well being and be experienced in dealing with night time emergencies and phone calls to 111.
• Monitor and report any changes in the residents' health and well being to the shift leader, the following morning.
• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, following in-house training
• Provide personal care and assistance to our residents
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with making mealtimes special and helping those who need the extra help.
