Care Assistant (Nights)

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team (24 hrs per week). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in a care home setting. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Follow individual care plans to ensure tailored support for each client’s needs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
• A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
