Care Assistant (Nights)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by delivering personalized assistance, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
• Support clients in taking their medication as prescribed, following care plans accurately
• Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Use IT systems to update care records, document observations, and track progress efficiently
• Drive company vehicles to transport clients safely to appointments or outings when required
• Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously to ensure a safe environment for all clients and staff
• Contribute to the development and review of individual care plans to meet each client’s specific needs

Experience

• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
• Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare settings for documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
