Care Assistant - Twighlight Shift

Care Assistant - Twilight Late Shift

Snowdon Care Home, Llanberis

16:00 to 22:00 - two shifts a week (12 hours) - £13.45 per hour

We're a 26-bed residential home for older people in Llanberis, at the foot of Snowdon. We're looking for two care assistants for our late shift - 4pm to 10pm, two shifts a week each, including some weekends. If you'd rather do four shifts a week (24 hours), tell us - we'll consider one person doing all four.

The late shift is dinner-time and supper, the evening, and getting residents settled for the night. It's a good shift if you've got children at school, another job in the day, or you just don't do mornings.

What you'll do:

· Help residents with personal care, bathing / showering, and to eat, drink and move safely.

· Keep them company through the evening and help them get ready for bed when they choose.

· Notice when something's not right and tell the senior straight away.

· Record and write clear notes using our care app.

What we're looking for

· Kind, patient and reliable. You turn up on time and you treat people the way you'd want your own family treated.

· Experience is welcome but not needed - we train you and support you to register with Social Care Wales.

· Able to write clear notes in English. If you can do that in Welsh too, it's a bonus.

· Fit enough for a job on your feet.

What you get

· £13.45 per hour, paid monthly on the last Friday of each month.

· Paid training and induction.

· A settled rota you'll know in advance.

· A small team where you'll know every resident and colleague by name.

You'll need an enhanced DBS check (we arrange it), two references and the right to work in the UK.

How to apply

Ring Vicky, our manager, on 01286 870391, or email [email protected] with a few lines about yourself. Please submit your CV through Indeed. No CV needed to start the conversation. Call in and see us if you'd rather - we're at Fron Goch, Llanberis LL55 4LF.
