What they need

Join Our Team and Help Shape the Future of Devon Home Care!

Devon Home Care Ltd is an established domiciliary care provider supporting older people to remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes.

As we continue to develop and grow our service, we are looking to recruit two enthusiastic, organised and compassionate Care Coordinators to join our management team.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced care professionals who are ready to take the next step in their careers, combining hands-on care delivery with care coordination, staff support and quality assurance.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent care, enjoy working with people and want to make a genuine difference within their local community.

About the Role

Our Care Coordinators will play an important role in ensuring that clients receive high-quality, person-centred care and that our care teams feel supported and valued.

This is a varied role combining direct care delivery with office-based and community-based coordination responsibilities.

Your working week will consist of:

20 hours – Direct Care Delivery

You will provide hands-on care and support to clients in their own homes, maintaining your practical skills and building positive relationships with the people we support.

20 hours – Care Coordination and Quality Assurance

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery and monitoring of care within your allocated geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing client assessments, care reviews and care plan updates.
  • Developing and reviewing person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and observational spot checks.
  • Completing staff competency assessments, following appropriate training.
  • Supporting new care workers with induction and shadowing.
  • Monitoring care quality and ensuring company standards are maintained.
  • Building positive relationships with clients, families and care staff.
  • Identifying changes in clients’ needs and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with quality assurance and CQC compliance.
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Supporting the continued development and growth of Devon Home Care.

Geographical Areas

We are recruiting two Care Coordinators to support our existing service areas:

Position 1: Newton Abbot, Kingsteignton and Kingskerswell.

Position 2: Teignmouth and Dawlish.

Each Care Coordinator will have responsibility for supporting clients and care staff within their allocated area.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working in domiciliary care.
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, or be willing to work towards one.
  • Have a good understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding and CQC requirements.
  • Be confident completing care plans and risk assessments.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be able to work independently and manage their own workload.
  • Be comfortable supporting and supervising other care workers.
  • Have good IT skills and be confident using digital care systems.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
  • Be flexible, reliable and committed to delivering high standards of care.

Previous experience as a Senior Care Worker, Field Care Supervisor or Care Coordinator would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from experienced carers who are ready to progress into a more senior role.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, split between direct care delivery and care coordination responsibilities.

Weekend working will be required, with alternate weekends preferred. We would ideally like candidates who can work both Saturday and Sunday on their allocated weekends; however, we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements depending on availability and service requirements.

We recognise the importance of work-life balance and aim to provide a fair and manageable working pattern.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay of £15.16 weekdays and £15.66 weekends.
  • Guaranteed 40-hour working week.
  • A varied role combining care delivery and management responsibilities.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Support from an experienced management team.
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Paid annual leave in accordance with contractual entitlement.
  • Mileage allowance in accordance with company policy.
  • The opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of an established local care provider.

Why Join Devon Home Care?
