About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and ambitious Manager to lead our domiciliary care and supported living services in Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care but also has the drive and vision to help grow and expand the business.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of the service, ensure we deliver safe and effective care, and actively identify new opportunities to develop the business, build relationships, secure new care packages, and expand our services.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a good understanding of CQC requirements, and a proactive approach to business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of our domiciliary care and supported living services.
  • Ensure the service meets all CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, and quality standards.
  • Lead, support, and develop a team of care staff, coordinators, and senior staff.
  • Ensure service users receive high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Manage care plans, risk assessments, audits, and quality assurance processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, social workers, and other referral partners.
  • Actively identify new business opportunities and work to expand the company's domiciliary care and supported living services.
  • Develop relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and other organisations to secure new care packages and placements.
  • Explore opportunities to expand into new areas, develop new services, and increase the company's client base.
  • Contribute to business development strategies and help drive the long-term growth and success of the company.
  • Monitor service performance, staffing levels, budgets, and operational costs.
  • Ensure effective recruitment, training, supervision, and retention of staff.
  • Handle complaints, safeguarding concerns, and incidents professionally and in line with company policies.
  • Promote a positive culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, and business growth.

About You

We are looking for someone who is not only an experienced care manager but also has the ambition and commercial awareness to help grow a business.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience managing a domiciliary care service, supported living service, or similar care setting.
  • Experience as a CQC Registered Manager or a strong understanding of CQC registration and compliance requirements.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, care planning, risk assessments, and quality assurance.
  • A proactive and business-minded approach, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Experience building relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and referral partners.
  • The ability to develop strategies to increase referrals, secure new care packages, and expand services.
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive improvements.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, depending on experience.
  • The opportunity to play a key role in the growth and development of the business.
  • A leadership position with the autonomy to develop and expand services.
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.
  • A supportive working environment with opportunities for professional development.
