Job Summary

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Support patients with medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Monitor health status, report changes or concerns promptly, and document care provided accurately
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, employing behavior management techniques
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Support hospice care patients by offering comfort measures and emotional support during difficult times
• Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a focus on patient care
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices
• Strong caregiving skills with an empathetic approach to individual needs
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• First aid certification and knowledge of emergency response procedures
• Valid driving license for transportation duties when necessary
• Capable of meal preparation that meets specific dietary requirements
• Skilled in behavior management techniques for challenging behaviors associated with dementia or mental health conditions
• Experience with medication administration following proper protocols

Pay: £13.00-£14.20 per hour
