Care Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting wellbeing, independence, and comfort for clients, including those with specialised needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols and organisational policies
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in client condition
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere
• Support with specialised care needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care, behaviour management, and end-of-life support where applicable
• Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safety during transportation

Skills

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and first aid
• Strong caregiving skills with the ability to handle behavioural challenges compassionately
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required and assist with mobility support
• Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs
• Valid driving licence for transportation duties is preferred but not essential
• Organised with good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively

Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
