What they need

Job Title: Domiciliary Care Assistant

Location: Tottenham and across the London Borough of Haringey

About Us

We are a dedicated and forward‑thinking organisation committed to delivering high‑quality care and fostering a supportive, collaborative working environment. Our team is driven by compassion, professionalism, and a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and empathetic individual to join our team as a Care Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting others and contributing to a positive, person‑centred care environment.

The successful candidate will be supporting service users with complex care needs, including individuals who require a high level of physical assistance, structured routines, and specialised support. You will work closely with clients, colleagues, and external partners to deliver safe, respectful, and dignified care. We encourage you to bring your strengths, develop your skills, and grow within a supportive and inclusive organisation.

Client‑Centred Care

Some of the individuals we support have expressed preferences regarding the personal care they receive. For this reason, we welcome applicants who are comfortable providing sensitive, intimate, and dignity‑focused personal care, and who can build trust and rapport with clients who may have specific comfort needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care

  • Support clients with daily living tasks, including personal care where required

  • Safely support service users with complex physical needs, including the use of hoists and other mobility equipment

  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, colleagues, and external professionals

  • Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures

  • Promote dignity, respect, and independence at all times

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

Essential Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to high‑quality care

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic care environment

Desirable Skills (Not Essential)

  • Previous experience in care or support roles, particularly with service users who have complex needs

  • Experience using hoists and other moving‑and‑handling equipment

  • Training or knowledge related to personal care, safeguarding, or health and social care

  • Confidence using digital tools and care‑recording systems

If you do not meet every desirable criterion, we still encourage you to apply. We value potential, transferable skills, and a positive attitude.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and inclusive workplace where your contributions are valued

  • Opportunities for training, development, and career progression

  • A role where you can make a meaningful difference

  • A team culture built on respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement

How to Apply

If you are compassionate, committed, and ready to take the next step in your care career, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your CV and a brief statement outlining your interest in the role.
