Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun while adhering to age-appropriate standards.
• Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times in a safe and caring manner.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Ensure safety by applying child supervision best practices, managing behavior with positive reinforcement, and following mandated reporting laws when necessary.
• Administer basic first aid and CPR in case of emergencies to ensure the health and safety of all individuals in your care.
• Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans that meet each child's unique needs and developmental milestones.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged.
• Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through positive discipline strategies.
• Strong communication skills to foster open dialogue with parents, guardians, and team members.
• Experience in toddler care, preschooler care, or nannying is desirable; familiarity with activity planning for children is a plus.
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
• Enthusiastic about teaching young children through engaging activities that support their growth and curiosity.

Pay: $22.19 - $26.73 per hour
