Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
• Plan and implement engaging activities that support childhood development, early education, and social skills
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times in accordance with individual needs
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently; administer first aid or CPR when necessary in emergency situations
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and environments to meet their specific needs
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of abuse or neglect promptly

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, babysitting, preschool settings, or youth programs
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
• Strong child supervision skills combined with behavior management techniques
• Ability to plan age-appropriate activities that promote learning and fun
• Certification in first aid and CPR from an accredited organization (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations
• Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children
