Caregiver

Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Memory Care Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will provide person-centered personal care, cognitive stimulation, and safety monitoring for residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory impairments. Your goal is to preserve each resident's dignity, independence, and quality of life in a safe, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance (ADLs): Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, and mobility/transfers while honoring their dignity and routines.
• Behavior Management & De-escalation: Recognize signs of agitation, confusion, or distress and use validation, redirection, and therapeutic communication to offer comfort and restore calm.
• Safety & Observation: Maintain a secure environment to prevent falls or wandering, and report any sudden changes in physical, behavioral, or cognitive health to the nursing team.
• Life Enrichment & Engagement: Encourage resident participation in daily structured activities, cognitive exercises, music, and social routines designed to foster joy and connection.
• Dining Support: Serve meals, assist with feeding when necessary, and ensure adequate hydration and nutrition intake based on personalized care plans.
• Documentation: Accurately log care tasks, behavioral notes, and daily progress in the resident record system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience working in senior living, memory care, or with individuals with dementia preferred.
• Strong empathy, exceptional patience, and calm emotional resilience under pressure.
• Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and assist with resident transfers safely.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
