The role

As a Caregiver, you will provide personalised support based on each client's individual needs, preferences and care plan.

Every client is different, so your role could range from providing personal care and practical support to spending quality time with a client, offering companionship and helping them remain active and independent.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting clients with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers where required
• Assisting with medication in accordance with individual care plans and company procedures
• Preparing and serving meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences
• Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support
• Supporting clients to take part in hobbies, activities and interests
• Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping trips, social activities and outings
• Encouraging and promoting independence wherever possible
• Supporting clients living with dementia or other complex care needs with patience and understanding
• Carrying out light household tasks to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home
• Building positive and trusting relationships with clients and their families
• Observing and reporting any changes in a client's health, wellbeing or circumstances
• Maintaining accurate care records and following individual care plans
• Providing care with dignity, respect, kindness and compassion at all times

Previous experience in domiciliary care, home care, residential care or supporting people living with dementia is desirable, although full training and support will be provided where appropriate.

A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle may be required for some roles.
