Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to seniors in a home or community setting. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. As an Elderly Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring residents’ safety, comfort, and health through attentive observation and tailored assistance. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status to ensure timely intervention
• Administer medications following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and resident rights
• Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met
• Support residents’ mental and emotional well-being through engaging communication and companionship
• Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community activities, ensuring safe patient transfer methods are used at all times

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and caring for individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities
• Experience in patient monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and vital signs measurement is essential
• Familiarity with care plans, resident’s rights, HIPAA compliance, manual handling techniques, heavy lifting, and patient transfer methods is required
• Background working with seniors or individuals with disabilities including intellectual disabilities support is advantageous
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
