Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages elementary school-age children.
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.
• Ensure the safety of children by adhering to childhood development best practices, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, maintaining up-to-date certifications.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities.
• Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times in accordance with individual needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities by providing personalized caregiving tailored to their specific requirements.

Skills

• Experience working with children across different age groups, elementary school-age children.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
• Proven ability to plan engaging activities suitable for young children and youth programs.
• Excellent child supervision skills combined with effective behavior management techniques.
• Certified in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
• Effective communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
• Classroom or daycare experience demonstrating reliable caregiving practices.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
