Overview

We are looking for people willing to make a difference in 3 small community adult homes. 2 are located in Waupaca, and 1 located in Wautoma areas.

In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, attentive care that promotes safety, independence as much as possible, and well-being. Your energy, and patience will help create a nurturing environment where adults can thrive and feel supported. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving expertise while positively impacting families and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and care for adults across various age groups, including young, middle-age and elderly; care includes help with bathing, dressing and activities of daily living
• Provide nutritious meals and snacks following the food guide pyramid
• Report any misconduct to Supervisor
• Communicate effectively with doctors, social workers or guardians to share updates on their client's progress and daily activities
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages independence following all health and safety regulations

Experience

• Prior experience working with adults in settings such as adult family homes, CBRF, and adult day facilities
• Familiarity with mental illness and crisis plans preferred
• Training or certification in first aid, fire safety, Medication Administration, and standard precautions is preferred but not required; classes can be provided upon hiring
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with the care team members to ensure consistent care delivery
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 40.0 per week
