Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Adult Residential Facility (ARF)

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Adult Residential Facility. Our home provides a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for adults with developmental and/or mental health disabilities. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Administer medications as trained and authorized.
• Complete daily documentation, including progress notes and medication records.
• Support residents in developing independent living skills and achieving personal goals.
• Accompany residents to medical appointments and community outings.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral condition.
• Follow all facility policies, resident rights, and California ARF regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous caregiving, DSP, CNA, behavioral health, or residential care experience is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet California ARF employment requirements.
• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain after hire.

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Weekday, weekend, evening, overnight, and holiday shifts may be available based on facility needs.
