Position Summary:

The Caregiver provides compassionate, dependable, and person-centered care to clients in their homes. The caregiver assists clients with activities of daily living, personal care, mobility, companionship, household tasks, and other authorized services according to the client’s care plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, positioning, and mobility as permitted by training and care plan. Provide meal preparation and assistance with feeding when appropriate. Provide companionship and emotional support. Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a safe, clean environment

Assist with laundry, linens, and other routine household tasks related to the client’s care. Remind clients to take medications according to the care plan and agency policies; medication administration must only be performed when legally permitted and properly authorized.

Observe and report changes in the client’s physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the supervisor or appropriate healthcare professional.

Follow the client’s individualized care plan and agency policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality and protect the client’s privacy.

Document services provided accurately and timely, including required visit documentation and EVV, when applicable. Report accidents, injuries, emergencies, suspected abuse/neglect, or other safety concerns immediately according to agency policy. Maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families.

Communicate respectfully with clients, family members, supervisors, and healthcare professionals. Follow infection-control, fall-prevention, emergency, and workplace-safety procedures. Perform other duties within the caregiver's authorized scope of practice and training.

Qualifications: CNA, PCA, or HHA certification/training, as applicable to the position.Previous caregiving or home-care experience preferred.Ability to communicate effectively in English.Dependable, punctual, compassionate, and professional.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to safely perform required physical duties of the position.

Must successfully complete required background checks and employment screening.

Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required according to agency policy.

Must provide required credentials and documentation before beginning client assignments

Employees may only perform duties that are authorized by their position, training, credentials, the client’s care plan, agency policies, and applicable Georgia law. Employees must not perform skilled nursing tasks or other restricted services unless specifically qualified, authorized, and permitted to do so. Professional Expectations: All caregivers are expected to: reat every client with dignity and respect. Protect confidential client information. Arrive on time and remain for the scheduled shift. Notify the agency promptly regarding absences or schedule changes. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Provide dependable, compassionate, and respectful care . Complete all required documentation accurately.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
