Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Monitor client by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Provide medication reminder and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks such as laundry, disinfecting surfaces, and organizing personal spaces.
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive atmosphere and promote mental well-being.

Requirements

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of client supervision techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration.
• Certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience working with client's with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory care needs is desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
