Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun.
• Ensure safety by maintaining a secure environment, adhering to mandated reporting laws, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on their child's progress and daily experiences.
• Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times.
• Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and age-appropriate discipline strategies.
• Assist with classroom or daycare activities, including early childhood education programs and youth activities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children across different settings such as daycare, babysitting, nannying, or preschool environments.
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications related to early childhood education or mandated reporting laws are a plus.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork.
• Ability to plan age-appropriate activities for toddlers through elementary school-age children.
• Passion for caregiving with a positive attitude and patience in challenging situations.
