Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia, ensuring a safe and comforting environment
• Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or changes in condition
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning living spaces to promote hygiene and comfort
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans and support overall patient health
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere for residents or clients

Requirements

• Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings preferred
• Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments is highly desirable
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
