Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home health environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and providing companionship.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Provide patient care and support in accordance with care plans
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in client conditions
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients through regular cleaning and organization
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and dementia care
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary
• Document patient observations accurately and maintain confidentiality of client information

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred
• Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is highly desirable
• Experience working in group homes or with individuals requiring memory care is a plus
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and ability to assist with heavy lifting when required
• Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow directives from healthcare professionals
• Preferably Bilingual : Spanish and English
