Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a private home, assisted living facility, or group home, you will be an essential part of enhancing the quality of life for those you serve.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patients’ health status, noting any changes or concerns for appropriate action
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Support patients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through memory care techniques and engagement activities
• Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry

Requirements

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized care
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfer and mobility support
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition accurately
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and adherence to care plans
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
