Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation according to individualized service plans.
• Promote resident independence, dignity, privacy, and personal preferences during all care activities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with meal service, dining, and feeding assistance as indicated in resident service plans.
• Encourage resident participation in social activities, recreational programs, and community events.
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident living environments.
• Accurately document care provided, resident observations, and other required information in the facility's electronic documentation system.
• Follow infection prevention practices, safety protocols, and established facility policies.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Work collaboratively with Medication Technicians, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in required training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Report incidents, accidents, and resident concerns promptly in accordance with facility procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Experience in assisted living, residential care, memory care, or other healthcare settings is a plus.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Strong organizational skills, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to complete required training and comply with applicable Oregon regulations.

Pay: $17.50 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
