Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical development
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times for young children
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to foster inclusion and participation
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures and adherence to mandated reporting laws when necessary
• Create a nurturing environment that encourages positive behavior management and social skills development

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in childcare settings is highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience caring for toddlers, preschoolers, or elementary school-age children
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Experience in activity planning tailored to children's developmental stages
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
• Daycare or babysitting experience is advantageous; teaching experience with young children is a plus
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare

Pay: $20.00 - $22.19 per hour
