Role Description The Caregiver is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, OH, providing non-medical in-home support to clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, as well as supporting mobility and safety in the home. The Caregiver helps with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and accompaniment to appointments or community activities. The role also involves observing and reporting changes in clients’ condition, providing companionship and conversation, and following individualized care plans. Caregivers are expected to maintain professional boundaries, uphold client confidentiality, and communicate regularly with supervisors and family members as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility support).
• Skills in light housekeeping, meal preparation, and basic home safety practices to maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and clear verbal and written communication.
• Reliable time management and organization skills, with the ability to follow care plans and document care provided accurately.
• Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and respect for client dignity, privacy, and cultural differences.
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes, handle routine challenges, and follow agency policies and procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior caregiving, home care, or related experience is highly beneficial.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to client homes in Columbus and surrounding areas.
• Willingness to undergo background checks, reference checks, and required training or certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid).
