Job Summary

Caregiver Helper: Looking for a caregiver helper to help assist 4 residents in my care home located in Round Rock Tx. Please speak English and must have 2 yrs experience as a caregiver. This position is needing to start asap. The days include Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday from 8-3pm this is contract. Please call 737-218-8518 for more information.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care plans.
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, outings, or community activities to promote independence and engagement.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods, including equipment like Hoyer lifts, to ensure safety for both residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), and hospice or palliative care practices.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, patient monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders (including autism), or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, assist with patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment, and handle manual tasks confidently.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus; ongoing training in geriatrics or long-term care is beneficial.
