Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, especially those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning rooms and common areas
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
• Document patient observations, care activities, and any changes in condition meticulously for ongoing care planning
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each resident’s needs
• Support hospice or palliative care services by providing compassionate end-of-life assistance

Requirements

• Proven experience in senior or home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards is essential
• Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, are required or highly advantageous
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
• Strong observational skills for monitoring clients conditions and recognizing signs of distress or deterioration
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed for comprehensive coverage

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
