Caregiver - Memory Care

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver specializing in Memory Care to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support and assistance to residents living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive disabilities. Schedule

2pm - 10pm (4 on 2 off rotating schedule)

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
• Implement behavior management techniques tailored to residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities to promote calmness and engagement
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed documentation
• Support residents during meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards
• Follow resident’s rights policies diligently, respecting their autonomy and preferences at all times

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care settings with a focus on memory care or geriatrics
• Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer’s disease, and behavioral management strategies
• Ability to perform safe patient lifting practices and manual handling with heavy lifting when necessary
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, CPR, and first aid certification
• Excellent communication skills for effectively engaging with residents, families, and team members
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments in residential or home care environments
• Familiarity with resident safety protocols, client communication standards, and home & community care practices

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
