Caregiving is real work, and it matters. At Krista Care, we provide compassionate, non-medical home care to clients who are elderly, recovering, living with a disability, or simply need a hand with daily life. We are a growing agency looking for caregivers who take pride in doing this well.

Who we're looking for
A genuine desire to help people, patience and warmth, and dependability. Experience is not required - if you have cared for a family member, volunteered in your community, or simply have a giving heart and want to learn, we would love to hear from you.

What we offer

• $19.00 per hour, weekly pay by direct deposit
• Flexible scheduling - tell us your availability; shifts start at 4 hours, work up to 6 days a week
• Holiday premium pay (1.5x) when you work a recognized holiday
• California-compliant paid sick time and a 401(k) retirement plan
• Paid vacation you can earn after your first year, in weeks you work 30+ hours
• Health insurance available for full-time employees who enroll
• We cover your TB test, and reimburse your Live Scan and HCA registration once you are established with us - ask us how it works
• Ongoing training and support - and coordinators who actually pick up the phone and know you by name

Your language is an asset. We serve a diverse community, and clients often ask for caregivers who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean. Speaking one of these alongside English can open up more placements for you.

What you'll do (non-medical personal care)

• Personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living
• Medication reminders (reminders only - caregivers do not administer medication)
• Companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping
  This is a non-medical role - no nursing or medical tasks.

What you'll need

• A caring, dependable attitude - no prior experience required
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes. You will never be required to drive clients in your own vehicle
• A smartphone to clock in and out electronically (EVV)
• Physical ability for hands-on care: most tasks involve lifting around 25 pounds, some clients up to 50, with or without reasonable accommodation
• No HCA registration needed to apply - it is required before your first shift, along with a DOJ Live Scan and negative TB test, and we guide you through all three
