Caregiver (WEEKENDS)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
• Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards
• Utilize electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities and resident progress
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers
• Support residents' participation in recreational activities to enhance quality of life

Skills

• Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, and behavior management techniques
• Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively in emergencies
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
• Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members
• Ability to drive safely when transporting residents or running errands as needed
• Competence in using EMR systems for documentation purposes
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting, transferring, or repositioning residents using equipment like Hoyer lifts
