Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration under supervision or as directed by nursing staff while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care techniques and ensuring a safe environment.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), catheter care, aseptic techniques, and wound dressing changes in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Assist with patient transfers using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques; operate equipment like Hoyer lifts safely.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine units, or trauma centers to deliver comprehensive patient service.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems and communicate clearly with team members regarding patient status or changes.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a CNA or equivalent credential; prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in critical care settings such as ICU, Level I/II trauma centers, or emergency departments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and patient care procedures including CPR/BLS certification.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience managing medical records is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect compassionately with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and work effectively within a team.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers or manual handling tasks.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; knowledge of dementia and memory care best practices is desirable.
• Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
