Job Description

SiZa Home Healthcare is looking for a compassionate, responsible, and professionally qualified DHA-licensed healthcare professional with experience in newborn and infant care to provide high-quality care and support to babies in their homes.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of newborn care, excellent hygiene practices, patience, and the ability to support parents while ensuring the baby's comfort, safety, and wellbeing.

Candidates must hold a valid DHA professional licence appropriate to the clinical services required for the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care to newborns and infants at home.
• Support feeding routines, burping, diaper changes, bathing, and maintaining baby hygiene.
• Monitor the baby's general condition, feeding patterns, sleep routines, and overall comfort.
• Recognise warning signs or changes in the baby's condition and promptly escalate concerns to the responsible healthcare professional.
• Follow appropriate infection prevention, hand hygiene, and baby-handling practices.
• Support parents with practical newborn-care guidance within the candidate's professional scope of practice.
• Provide breastfeeding and postpartum-related support where appropriately trained and authorised.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, feeding schedules, observations, and any concerns, as applicable.
• Follow SiZa Home Healthcare's clinical protocols, safeguarding requirements, and patient confidentiality policies.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and family members.
• Escalate emergencies promptly and provide care only within the candidate's competence and authorised scope of practice.

Requirements

• Valid DHA professional licence appropriate to the role and services provided.
• Relevant qualification in nursing or another healthcare discipline appropriate to the position.
• Previous experience in newborn, infant, maternity, neonatal, or paediatric care is preferred.
• Experience in home healthcare or private-duty care is an advantage.
• Knowledge of newborn hygiene, feeding practices, safe sleep principles, and infection prevention.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, reliable, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently during home visits while following company protocols.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including night shifts, where required.
• Currently residing in the UAE is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Newborn and infant care.
• Premature baby or NICU experience, where supported by relevant qualifications and competency.
• Postnatal and maternity care.
• Breastfeeding support, where appropriately trained.
• Home healthcare services and family education.
