Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Job Summary

As a Caregiver/Personal Assistant, you’ll provide respectful, person-centered support in home, community, residential, or long-term care settings. You’ll assist clients and residents with daily routines, personal care, meals, mobility, and meaningful activities while following care plans and protecting each person’s privacy and rights. Your impact: Attentive care and clear communication help clients and residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting; provide patient care and personal care assistance.
• Observe and monitor changes in condition, and promptly share concerns with the appropriate personnel
• Prepare meals, cook, clean.

Experience

• Caregiving, direct support, home care, home health, or home and community care experience is relevant; experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or long-term care is welcome.
• Knowledge of senior care, geriatrics, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, dementia care, nursing, or intellectual disabilities support is useful.
• Experience supporting people with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is valued.
• Patient observation, patient monitoring, client communication, meal preparation, cleaning, and ADL assistance skills are important.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) knowledge is preferred; follow applicable training and authorization requirements for medication administration, vital signs, and lifting tasks.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 23.0 per week
