Carer

To provide person centred holistic care to the Loreto Community in a kind, caring, clean and positive environment.

For example; assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, continence care, social and spiritual care and other activities of daily living as required on an individual basis.

To uphold the principles of Safeguarding the Vulnerable Adult and adhere to our inhouse Safeguarding Policy.

To adhere to our manual handling policy and use manual handling equipment as appropriate.

To adhere to our inhouse Infection Control Policy and take all infection control precautions necessary to protect the Loreto Community and oneself/staff.

To ensure a clean, safe environment for the community to live in.

To prepare and serve the evening meal, and support and assist at other meal times.

To observe and monitor the wellbeing of the Loreto sisters and report any concerns/illness to manager.

To adhere to our medications management policy.

To report any incidents to manager.

To provide end of life care ensuring the principles of our End of Life Policy are upheld.

To maintain up to date knowledge of our inhouse Emergency Planning procedures eg Fire, Medical Emergency etc.

To ensure an effective and comprehensive handover is given at staff handover time.

To ensure regular checks are carried out on all community residents.

To adhere to our inhouse Health and Safety Policy and regulations.

To attend Mandatory training and keep up to date with all training requirements.

To adhere to all inhouse policies.

To adhere to any other duties as may be requested by Management and deemed reasonable to the position held
